provides services for residents and tourists who are
over 50 years old. Their services are run by teams of
volunteers and include services to provide friendship

MABS Cancer Charity
The leading charity in Spain dedicated
to the support of all who are affected
by cancer, whether patients or those
close to them. Providing support
irrespective of nationality, age,
economic circumstances or medical
history. Founded as a self help group
by cancer survivors in 1999 and now
an extensive network of volunteers.

Costa Blanca Samaritans
Costa Blanca Samaritans offers a free, completely
confidential, non judgemental, telephone based
emotional support help line service for any English
speaker of any age who may be experiencing distress
or despair and who might be feeling suicidal.
Registered with the Generalitat Valenciana as a not for
profit organisation.

Charity Shop Library Javea
The volunteers of The Original Charity
Shop and Library in Javea raise
considerable funds for worthwhile local
causes. On average they donate
50,000€ per year, which is raised
through donations or through clients
selling goods on a commission basis.
They offer an English language library
in Javea Park which has over 14,500
books and talking books on cassettes
and CDs, which are all on loan for a
small subscription. They also sell
quality greeting cards, gift wrap, etc.

a donation or as a volunteer.

Help International Benidorm is a registered charitable
organisation, with no political or religious affiliations,
run by volunteers to provide help to residents and
visitors in emergencies and times of need:
Assist patients in hospital and pay regular visits to the
housebound. Assist in emergencies, providing advice
when people do not know where to turn. Several
interpreters to assist people at medical appointments,
or handling emergencies requiring the Spanish
language. Loan medical equipment- wheelchairs etc.-
for short term use without charge. HELP maintains a
close relationship with the British Consulate in Alicante
and with other charitable organisations.

new carers who can foster abandoned animals. You will
find an online Pet Supply Shop on their website where
you can shop for all you need and raise much needed
funds as P.E.P.E receive 5% of each sale made.
